Barr Beacon School

Barr Beacon School has recently been recognised as an Outstanding school and has gained Teaching School status. This is because everybody involved in school, from Governors through to Year 7 pupils, has the highest expectations and works very hard to achieve these outcomes. We are a traditional school where old fashioned values of discipline, courtesy and good manners underpin our drive for academic success for every child. We aim to achieve the very best results from every single pupil academically and prepare them for the world of work. I am immensely proud to work with so many supportive Governors, outstanding staff and delightful young people. It is a privilege to be the Headteacher of Barr Beacon School.

Elmwood School

A warm welcome to Elmwood School. We are a special school for pupils aged 11-16, with behavioural emotional and social difficulties. The school works in the heart of the Walsall Community to provide a happy, safe and specialist environment where staff, pupils and their families are treated with dignity and respect. Elmwood enables pupils to achieve their full potential through a nurturing environment that at the same time has high expectations for individual pupil achievement. We work hard to provide a broad, balanced and relevant education catering for pupils’ varying needs. All staff value the uniqueness of the individual and respond to the challenge of special needs through knowledge, understanding and empathy. We aim to prepare pupils for the independent journey of lifelong learning.

Bloxwich Academy

People usually say that they got into teaching to make a difference. But how often do they really get the chance? At Bloxwich Academy, you will be making a real difference to children’s lives in every single lesson. The school has been through a tough time. For years, pupils have routinely achieved some of the poorest results in the country. But that time is coming to an end and we need you to play a key role in the next stage of the school’s transformation.

Kingsland Primary

Kingsland School aims to create a welcoming, happy, healthy and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop and sustain caring relationships alongside high standards of behaviour and achievement, striving for mastery within the curriculum. The importance of emotional literacy and the well-being of every child underpins all activities. Our school motto is 'Together we respect, we learn, we achieve'. Our warm, caring ethos is evident as you walk around our school. It is our role, as educators, to enable pupils to envisage the boundless possibilities that lie before them and to enable them to strive to achieve.

Dame Elizabeth Cadbury

We are a small school with a distinct family feel. We are a community where we all work together and where all pupils are challenged to make excellent progress. Our school is a good school where traditional values are important: discipline, uniform, courtesy, good manners and mutual respect underpin day to day life for pupils, parents and staff. We expect a lot of everyone, from governors through to year 7 pupils and we make no apology for our high expectations. At Dame Elizabeth Cadbury we respect, aspire, believe and commit; these are our values, these are our behaviours.

Grace Academy Darlaston

Grace Academy has a unique Christian ethos based upon our five shared values of Grace, Respect, Integrity, Potential and Excellence. As part of the vision to develop citizens who make a difference we help engage students and staff to outwork our values through participating in the work of a dedicated Ethos Team.

Ormiston Shelfield Academy

At Shelfield we have created a culture of success through the operation of strict routines and protocols and an unwavering focus on results and by offering the very best teaching and support students learn, behave and are well mannered. Teachers teach with skill and rigour and staff and students enjoy what they do together. In our achievement-orientated culture it is cool to work hard and to want to learn and this is a reflection of our commitment to performance transparency and accountability of student results and achievement in our academy.

Q3 Academy Great Barr

Our educational philosophy is simple.

First and foremost we want every child to feel happy and excited about coming to the Academy. Only when each child feels secure and comfortable can we challenge them to grow and learn together.

We want our students to return home telling their families of the memorable exciting learning experiences they have enjoyed. Experiences that make it easier to recall the detail necessary for exam success and experiences that develop their character as much as their academic potential.

Our passion is helping young people to flourish and become confident capable adults ready for the world ahead.

This passion creates a genuine warmth that supports every member of our community. Our traditional family values and Academy ethos, ‘To seek for that which is good, right and true’ helps to keep the academic and well-being of every child sharply in focus and drives our ambition for continual improvement.

Only if our staff can say that what we provide is good enough for their own children is it good enough for yours and I’m proud to say this commitment to care, coupled with high academic ambition is helping all our young people to succeed.
